Jaudon

Toni Wall Jaudon is a first-year Ph.D. student in Health Systems & Services Research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Having lived with multiple chronic health conditions since their teens, Toni formally entered patient advocacy work in 2023, when she was diagnosed with Long COVID. Toni works closely with the Patient-Led Research Collaborative for Long COVID, with whom they have co-authored articles advocating for better patient engagement in all stages of clinical trial research. Toni has also interned with Long COVID Justice, helping to develop a review of current medical and sociological research on Long COVID.

Toni’s research interests include patient engagement in the healthcare system, disparities in access to healthcare and clinical trials, and Long COVID and other health conditions disproportionately affecting women and gender-diverse patients. She is particularly passionate about the need for rigorous, equitable clinical research to address understudied conditions such as Long COVID and other infection-associated chronic illnesses.
